Pre '64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in 30-06 gov't.

There's still time left to buy a vintage rifle, sight it in and take it for opening weekend of deer season. 1955 vintage M70! In excellent headspace as checked with Forster gauges.

Scope/rings/bases have been removed and will be retained by me. This is the bare rifle with the original iron sights to make the price point more attractive.

Let me start with this- No, I don't need to sell this to make ends meet. If you throw me a low-ball offer I will reply in kind and then kindly put you on the blocked list.

On the day I took pictures, there was a lot of smoke haze- so it has an unnatural tint, stock is gorgeous!

Yes, it's got some bluing faded from sitting in a cabinet for years. Granted, it's in excellent shape for a '55.

This is a true "pre-64" model 70 featherweight. Not a reissue. The quality of these rifles are just outstanding. No slop, everything fits like it should- it was fit by hand in this day/age.

Iron sights, butt pad (vintage) make up this classic hunter. I had contemplated hunting with it this year, but I have a bunch in the safe and I should give a custom another chance.

I hunt with a different caliber each year- this year it was narrowed to 3 finalists that I couldn't pick between. In the draw (yes, it came down to that!) the custom 8mauser was pulled. This is an excellent price for the quality of rifle you are getting. Much different than the $1100 savages and the like that are for sale on bisman currently.

Will come without bases, but I can add some weavers for a bit of $. No, the Burris bases and M8 are not going to be sold, at any price.

$1100-now $950 or trade for a ruger #1 in calibers I am interested in. They truly don't make them like this anymore. These rifles come from a time of craftsman over mass production. Controlled round feeding, in excellent headspace! Bore is clear and bright!

Another trade option: A Trijicon ACOG- either 5.56 or 308, chevron style. I will need to confirm authenticity prior to the trade though. There's too many fakes out there.

Thanks for looking
