About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Drone Pilot to operate cutting-edge drones for agricultural pesticide application and pipeline inspection. This position combines precision flying with technical expertise to deliver efficient and effective solutions for our clients.

As a Drone Pilot, you will be responsible for the safe operation of drones, ensuring high-quality data collection and application results, and adhering to all regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Spray Drone Operations

Safely operate spray drones to apply pesticides and other agricultural treatments.

Calibrate and monitor drones to ensure accurate application rates and coverage.

Mix and load chemicals in accordance with safety protocols and application recipes.

Maintain detailed records of operations, including area covered, chemicals used, and flight data.

Pipeline Inspection

Conduct drone-based inspections of pipelines to identify potential issues such as leaks, corrosion, or structural damage.

Capture high-resolution images, videos, and thermal data for analysis.

Ensure flight paths are optimized for thorough inspections while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Drone Maintenance and Safety

Perform pre- and post-flight inspections of drones to ensure operational readiness.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with drones and related equipment.

Stay up to date with FAA regulations and company safety protocols.

Client Interaction and Reporting

Communicate findings and application details to supervisors and clients when required.

Provide insights and recommendations based on inspection data and application results.

Compliance and Documentation

Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including FAA Part 107 certification requirements.

Maintain accurate flight logs and chemical application records.

Qualifications

Required:

FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.

Proven experience in operating drones, preferably for commercial purposes.

Knowledge of pesticide handling and application processes.

Familiarity with drone-based imaging, thermal cameras, and mapping software.

Preferred:

Experience in agriculture or pipeline inspection.

Technical expertise in drone repair and maintenance.

Understanding of GIS and data analysis tools.

Skills and Abilities

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and in remote environments.

Excellent communication skills for reporting and collaboration.

Physical ability to handle equipment and work in varying field conditions.

Work Environment and Conditions

Frequent outdoor work in agricultural and industrial settings.

Variable weather conditions and terrain.

Occasional travel to client sites.
