"Plein-Air Exhibit" during the month of September at Bismarck Downtown Artist Cooperative.
Plein-air originated in the 1800s where artists would paint the landscape in open air. The Impressionists were famous for painting outside and today there is a group in Bismarck that meets in early Spring into the Fall creating art on location, capturing mood, light and atmosphere. The opening reception is Sept 6 at 5:30 pm at 222 N 4, downtown Bismarck located in the historic Bismarck Tribune Building. Hours are posted on facebook and website.
