Winchester Model 70 XTR in .243 caliber. Immaculate 1980 production.
Near Mint Condition vintage 1980 Winchester Model 70 XTR which, according to internet research, is also referred to as the Featherweight model. It is chambered in .243 Win with a 22 barrel. It has a high gloss blued finish and walnut stock with beautiful factory checkering. The bluing on the drop plate shows very light rub marks and the trigger guard bluing is mint. It has the original Winchester labeled butt pad, factory hooded front sight and flip up rear sight. The jewelling on the bolt looks almost unused as does the bluing on the muzzle. Truly a gorgeous rifle. Pictures don't do it justice.
UPDATE: I'm told it's not a Featherweight, all Featherweights had a Schnabel forend . It might be a Lightweight, they had rounded tips. My apologies for incorrect classification.
